Veterans Village Update

We did it!!

As planned, we purchased a pre-owned passenger for the new Veterans Village in Clackamas with the funds we raised at the Veterans Car & Motorcycle Show, and throughout the year.  A huge thank you to each one of you who helped raise the funds for this much needed van.  It’s a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country with only 58,500 miles, and it’s in great condition. Carr Subaru worked with me on a very good price and K&D Auto Wrap will  be putting the logos on it for a good price too. (Be sure to support both of these fine companies.)

Please see the photos attached. The two gentleman pictured with me are instrumental in running the Village which is a transitional housing facility made up of 15 tiny homes (pods). There is a central kitchen, bathroom and laundry facility. There are case managers who work with each veteran and help them to get the services they need. Of course there is always a waiting list and there have been many success stories in its short history. They will be adding 15 more pods in the near future.
